Engineering Manager

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Compensation: Salary Commensurate with Experience + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits

Reports To: SVP of Engineering

The data center boom is creating a new tier of electrical infrastructure giants, and this company is sitting at the center of it. This is a massive, well-funded platform comprised of four synergistic manufacturers that launched last summer to dominate the critical power space. They are backed by a PE group that specializes in this exact strategy, consolidating legacy specialists into a unified, national critical power platform.

This group of companies is the engineering force behind some of the most complex power systems on the market, including LV/MV switchgear, panelboards, PDUs, liquid and dry transformers, and modular/prefab e-Houses.

With a massive project backlog (>$1B) and a flat, lean structure that skips the corporate bureaucracy, you will have the opportunity to take the reins of an established engineering team of SMEs, reporting directly to the SVP of Engineering. Your technical decisions will have an immediate impact on how these high-stakes projects are delivered.

We are looking for a senior technical leader who can act with urgency, enhance collaboration between engineering, production, and quality, and take this team to the next level:

  • 5+ years of engineering experience with a background in Engineer-to-Order projects
  • 3+ years of management experience with a track record of leading technical teams through fast-paced projects
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Master's in a related field or PMP preferred
  • Comfort owning design packages from concept to FAT
  • Experience designing any of the following: Switchboards, Switchgear, Integrated Power Skids, Panelboards, PDUs with project applications in industrial, data centers, utility/renewable energy, or mission-critical services
