Project Finance – Asset Manager

Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid)

Piper Maddox is partnered with one of the largest privately held renewable energy developers globally, with an expanding pipeline across wind, solar, geothermal, and hydropower.

They have a rapidly expanding footprint with over 60 operating plants. They plan to deploy ~100 GW globally over the next decade. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-growth platform with long-term stability. The Finance Asset Manager sits within a lean team and will focus on managing the financial performance of a portfolio of renewable energy assets.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial performance of renewable energy assets (wind, solar, storage)
• Lead investor-facing communications, including reporting and ongoing relationship management
• Oversee and maintain tax equity structures and partnerships
• Develop and maintain cash flow models, including distribution waterfalls and scenario analysis
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A processes across asset portfolios
• Track investment performance and provide insights to internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, development, and operations teams

Qualifications

• Tax equity experience
• Understanding of project finance structures, including partnership agreements and cash distributions
• Experience with financial modeling and investment tracking
• Proven ability to manage or support investor relationships and communications
• Background in renewable energy projects
• Experience in wind strongly preferred (solar and storage also considered)
• Exposure to budgeting, reporting, and FP&A processes
