Technical Sales Manager – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) (m/f/d)

Location: Berlin or Baden-Württemberg

A leading provider of advanced energy and power solutions is looking for a Technical Sales Manager (m/f/d) to strengthen its growing Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) business.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, sales, and the energy transition, focusing on the development and delivery of complex system solutions for customers across Europe.

Your role:

• Develop electrical concepts and designs for customer-specific BESS solutions
• Lead medium-voltage (MV) system design, including communication and protection concepts
• Translate customer requirements into scalable, standardised system architectures
• Align technical solutions with internal R&D, customers, grid operators, and authorities
• Support the technical sales and bid process, ensuring concepts are contract-ready
• Drive standardisation and optimisation of system solutions

Your profile:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (MSc preferred, BSc considered)
• 5–10 years’ experience in project-based electrical system business (non-automotive)
• Strong expertise in medium-voltage system design; high-voltage experience is a plus
• Confident in creating and approving single-line diagrams (SLDs)
• Experience in substation planning, transfer stations, and grid integration
• Background in EPC environments
• Familiarity with DSOs / grid operators
• Experience with MV equipment / OEM application environments
• Strong understanding of planning processes (installation experience is a plus)
• Fluent in English and German
