Our client is seeking an experienced Project Geologist to support and advance field‑based exploration programs in Northern Saskatchewan. This role is ideal for a hands‑on geologist with proven experience managing drill programs, navigating permitting and assessment reporting requirements, and contributing across all phases of exploration projects. Working closely with senior technical staff, the successful candidate will initially support active drilling programs and, over time, take on independent project ownership. This position offers a strong balance of field execution, project management, and technical contribution within a collaborative exploration team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support active drilling programs in collaboration with senior geologists and technical leads
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise exploration drill programs, including regular field rotations to remote camp environments
  • Ensure best practices for geological data collection, QA/QC, safety, and environmental stewardship
  • Monitor and manage contractors to ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and project schedules
  • Interpret and report geological data; assist with developing and maintaining geological models, sections, and drill targets
  • Contribute to core logging, core mapping, prospecting, and sampling programs, including one‑off or short‑term field projects
  • Assist with geoscientific compilations, technical reporting, and permit applications and closures
  • Support project budgeting, cost tracking, and schedule management
  • Communicate technical results and project updates to internal teams and external partners
  • Supervise and mentor junior field staff as required
  • Maintain positive relationships with contractors, regulators, and other project stakeholders
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental performance

Additional Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in mineral exploration
  • Strong understanding of exploration methodologies and geological principles
  • Proficiency with common geological and GIS software (e.g., GIS, 3D modeling, drillhole logging platforms)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
  • Willingness to work in remote field locations on a rotational basis
