Technical Buyer (m/f/d) – Construction / Technical Procurement

Location: Baden-Württemberg, Germany

Salary: Up to €70,000

The Role

As Technical Buyer, you will be responsible for the procurement of technical materials and construction-related services while supporting ongoing projects and maintaining strong supplier relationships. The role sits within a collaborative procurement team and works closely with technical departments, project managers, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the procurement of technical materials and construction-related services
• Handling national and international purchasing activities
• Obtaining, evaluating, and negotiating supplier offers
• Preparing and analysing commercial comparisons and pricing structures
• Leading price and contract negotiations in German and English
• Managing subcontractor agreements and supplier relationships
• Supporting strategic sourcing activities and identifying new procurement sources
• Working closely with internal stakeholders across technical and operational teams
• Ensuring delivery timelines, quality standards, and cost efficiency
• Maintaining and optimising supplier and procurement data within the ERP system

Candidate Profile

• Approx. 4+ years of experience in technical or operational procurement
• Background within construction, infrastructure, solar, or related technical industries preferred
• Strong understanding of procurement processes related to tenders, specifications, and supplier negotiations
• Confident negotiator with strong communication skills
• Fluent German and good English skills required
• Experience working within international procurement environments is advantageous
• Structured, proactive, and independent working style
• Good knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office (experience with Microsoft Business Central is a plus)
