Transactions Associate

Compensation: $140,000 - $150,000 + bonus

Location: San Francisco, CA (on-site, hybrid)

Piper Maddox is partnering with a fast-growing clean energy and infrastructure platform supporting complex financing and strategic transactions across the U.S. The business has quickly established itself as a key player within the energy transition space, working across a broad range of technologies, counterparties, and transaction structures.

The team is looking to add a Transactions Associate to support transaction execution, diligence, and stakeholder coordination across a variety of clean energy and infrastructure-related transactions. This role will work closely with senior members of the team to help manage live deals, assess diligence materials, support risk analysis, and move processes forward from initial review through closing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support execution of tax credit transactions between corporate buyers and clean energy developers, manufacturers, and other counterparties
  • Assist in collecting, reviewing, and organizing diligence materials and key transaction documentation
  • Help coordinate internal and external stakeholders to keep live transactions moving efficiently
  • Support analysis of transaction structures, commercial considerations, and key risk items
  • Partner with senior team members on transaction management, client communication, and broader strategic initiatives

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in clean energy finance, tax credits, project finance, banking, Big 4, valuations, consulting, or similar transaction-oriented environments
  • Experience supporting live transactions, diligence, project coordination, and client-facing work in fast-paced settings
  • Familiarity with energy, infrastructure, or tax credit markets is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to assess complex information and communicate clearly
  • Evidence of strong progression, high performance, and the ability to thrive in a highly technical, detail-oriented environment
