I’m currently supporting a rapidly growing owner/operator within the distributed energy space that is scaling aggressively across solar PV, battery storage, and broader sustainable infrastructure projects throughout the US.

They are looking for a Project Engineer to support the engineering, construction, and commissioning of distributed solar and BESS assets, working across the full project lifecycle from development through execution and handover.

The role will involve:

• Reviewing solar PV and BESS engineering designs, layouts, SLDs, and protection schemes

• Supporting project development, interconnection, and technical due diligence

• Coordinating with EPCs, consultants, OEMs, and Independent Engineers

• Supporting construction, commissioning, FAT/SAT testing, and project handover

• Reviewing battery systems including PCS, EMS/BMS, controls, HVAC, and fire safety systems

• Helping optimize project performance, reliability, and CAPEX efficiency

Ideal background:

• 2–5 years of experience within solar, BESS, EPC, or renewable energy projects

• Strong understanding of distributed energy projects and engineering coordination

• Experience reviewing drawings, technical documentation, and project deliverables

• Exposure to tools such as PVSyst, AutoCAD, or similar is a plus
