Piper Maddox is partnering with a leading utility-scale renewable energy IPP originally founded within Goldman Sachs, supporting the growth of their engineering team across a 5+ GW solar and storage portfolio in the U.S. This is an opportunity to join a well-capitalized platform with strong project momentum and exposure across the full lifecycle of utility-scale renewable projects.

They are looking to add a Senior Project Engineer to their team to support the delivery of utility-scale solar and BESS projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review utility-scale solar project designs from 30% through IFC, ensuring technical accuracy and constructability
• Apply electrical engineering expertise across 20–200+ MW solar and BESS projects while coordinating with PMs, EORs, and internal teams
• Support projects from development through construction by resolving technical issues and reviewing design changes
• Act as a technical liaison across engineering and execution teams to drive practical, build-ready solutions

Key Requirements:

• 3+ years of engineering experience within utility-scale solar, with strong electrical exposure and some civil/structural coordination
• Experience reviewing designs through multiple project stages (30%, 60%, 90%, IFC) and supporting construction execution
• Strong understanding of utility-scale project delivery and cross-functional coordination with EPCs, PMs, and field teams
• Experience supporting 20–200+ MW renewable projects and resolving technical/design-related issues
