Line Manager: Process Engineer LeadDepartment: Process EngineeringThe Process Engineer will provide Process Engineering (PE) expertise to analyse issues and suggest optimization strategies as part of continuous improvement initiatives as well as contribute to engineering projects. Impact – Making a difference that matters.Key Responsibilities:- Support/Lead process to find or develop solutions to technical problems affecting operational requirements and production targets.- Contribute to best-in-class process technology by developing/implementing new processes and staying updated on emerging technologies.- Build proactive relationships with Process Technology, Operations, Maintenance, Quality and Projects.- Support Process Engineering team and take ownership of deliverables for capital projects.- Participate in technical discussions with external parties (equipment manufacturers, engineering and permitting consultants).- Deliver technical training to operations teams; support writing/updating SOPs and batch manufacturing records.Key Competencies: Effective cross-functional communication; ability to reprioritise and work to short deadlines; coaching ability; hands-on approach.Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s or master’s in Bioscience, Fermentation, or Process/Chemical Engineering; desirable minimum 5 years industrial experience; practical skills in process engineering; ability to prioritise; strong teamwork and proactive approach.Technical Skills (summary): Draft/check P&IDs/PFDs; equipment sizing/selection and datasheets; process calculations (control valves, heat transfer); process safety methodologies (HAZOP/HAZID); troubleshoot/diagnose complex process issues and RCA.Company Initiatives: Take responsibility for H&S; build a culture of food safety and H&S; support company values; comply with legal/regulatory obligations; be flexible.
