Line Manager: Sofia MavromatiDepartment: QualityWorking pattern: Initially Monday to Friday on shifts (6.00-14.00, 14.00-22.00, 22.00-6.00) with some weekend cover expectedShift allowance: 25%Details: Execute all quality control activities in a timely manner and support the process of monitoring plant cleaning, fermentation stability, product quality.Key Responsibilities (summary):- Data analysis following analytical testing (e.g. dry cell weight, total solids, glucose content, COD, elemental analysis) from QC samples.- Plating out final rinse water samples; support production sampling and prepare boxes for External Lab.- Read plates and report results; ensure materials in stock; book external sample testing; general housekeeping in a food lab.- Populate internal/external data onto master data sheet; facilitate quality reports; responsible for environmental swabbing, Legionella testing, process water routine testing.Company Initiatives: Take responsibility for H&S; support company initiatives and values; comply with legal/regulatory obligations; participate in training; be flexible.Requirements of the role:Specific Knowledge, Experience & SkillsRequired: Experience in a laboratory environment; problem solving and troubleshooting; interest in science; analytical skills; sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.Desired: Degree or qualification in a scientific subject.This job description is a summary and not exhaustive.
