Full job description

Purpose of the Role

You will be a member of the sales team, and you will have responsibility for hitting revenue and volume targets across all markets. You will provide strategic support to the Co-CEO and develop sales strategies for existing and new frass products in the agricultural sector. You will have account management and new business responsibilities, as well as internal line management & budget responsibilities. You will work closely with the Marketing and New Product Development teams to develop sales, technical and promotional materials. You will be responsible for ensuring the systems & structures are in place to optimise team performance.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;

● Hitting revenue targets from fertiliser & agricultural products

● Developing and executing sales strategies for existing and new fertiliser and agricultural products

● Key Account Management responsibilities with major clients

● Building the sales team, processes and structures to implement through all key markets

Key Activities

Sales

o Meeting company sales targets, both in securing volume and maximising revenue through material allocation and pricing strategies

o Drafting, implementing & supervising annual, quarterly and monthly activity plans to meet team OKRs

o Closing, managing and developing Key Accounts across all fertiliser and agricultural products.

o Supporting the Marketing team to develop materials suitable for new sales channels and customer support strategies.

o Developing leads and closing international sales, attending conferences & expos.

o Analysing sales team data and taking responsibility for adapting strategies.

o Analysing data to make strategic decisions, such as engaging collaboration or partnership or making adjustments to the sales pitches and materials.

Internal & management

o Planning, executing & monitoring the sales activities and ensures targets are met.

o Reporting & forecasting clearly & honestly to the Co-CEO and Leadership team.

o Hiring, developing and supervising junior members of the commercial team.

o Coordination with the New Product Development and R&D teams on the development and launch of new products

● Any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned to you by the management from time to time either within or out of your category of employment must perform accordingly.

Requirements & Person Specifications

● In-depth understanding of the global fertilisersector, with a particular emphasis on organic or bioactive products. As well as key clients and their position in the industry.

● Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, sales, or relevant field, Master's degree preferred.

● Technical knowledge of fertiliser or biotechnology would be an advantage

● At least 6 years’ experience in sales or account management, and ideally at least 2 years’ experience of managing key accounts.

● Familiarity with CRM tools (eg SalesForce or Zoho CRM), forecasting & reporting.

● Able to present technical & scientific data in an easily digestible way to facilitate communication of product solutions.

● Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English to non-native english speakers, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary.

● Strong computer literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets and presentations.

● You must be driven by a challenge and have the agility and flexibility to adapt to a very fast growing company.

● Strong attention to detail, with a high level of self-management.

Reporting Lines & Supervision

You will report to the Co-CEO, and will work closely with the Marketing Manager, and the leadership team where required. You will directly manage the Agricultural Sales Managers, as well as any team interns. You will also work closely with the Regulatory & Product Coordinator, New Product Development and the FSRA team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
