This role is based at our New York office in a hybrid work environment.
About this Role
As a rapidly growing, Series A-funded and VC-backed social enterprise, we are seeking a Head of Finance to join our team. This role will play a pivotal part in rePurpose Global’s next phase of growth, gaining exposure to multiple facets of our company and becoming a strategic business partner. You will employ your strong analytical skills to leverage data and construct robust financial models that can scale. By effectively communicating key insights, you will contribute to informed decision-making processes and actively participate in optimizing our financial & compliance operations during this high-growth phase.
Key Reponsibilities
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Set up automated processes for ongoing and accurate reporting of financial health and key business metrics to management and the company board.
- Dashboarding for company-wide visibility and actionability. Conduct in-depth analysis of financial and operational data to provide actionable insights, enabling data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Budgeting Leadership leads the annual budgeting process year after year, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic goals and financial targets.
- Compliance, taxation, and treasury management processes with a continuous refinement mentality.
- Procurement-related processes, vendor management, and negotiation.
- Contracting and accounts receivable management with customers.
- Payroll-related processes and manage company benefits procurement to meet compliance, deliver employee trust, and manage costs efficiently.
- Help solve ad-hoc issues that inevitably come up and take on special projects to both respond to risks and jump on opportunities.
Own and Oversee Foundational Financial Operations:
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with departments company-wide to gather inputs, provide financial insights, and support strategic initiatives, fostering a culture of collaboration and shared success.
Qualification
- Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in FP&A or related field, with a proven track record of financial analysis, budgeting, and performance reporting.
- Been part of a Series A-C company and has had hands-on experience in the fundraising and scaling process.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex financial concepts and insights to diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, building strong working relationships and driving collective success.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams, provide guidance and mentorship to junior members, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis tools, as well as experience with automation and dashboarding solutions (e.g., Causal).
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align financial goals and initiatives with broader organizational objectives, contributing to company-wide success.
- Demonstrated passion for environmental sustainability and socio-economic impact.

Location Preference:
The role is onsite working; we are looking for team members to be located at our head office in New York City, with weekly in-office days at our office at 1460 Broadway.
We have a truly global team - with members across Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, London, Nairobi, Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, and Jakarta.

Compensation and benefits
Competitive Compensation: Enjoy a highly
