About The RoleIn order for Swedish Algae Factory to continue the fantastic growth journey, the company invests heavily in the development of new products and production processes. A very important part of the development work will be to:

• Increase our production and productivity in the short and long term.
• Strengthen our value proposition to our customers by meeting our customers' requirements and creating the right product properties for different end applications.
• Further strengthen our sustainability profile.

To meet the large number of development activities planned, we need to strengthen our development team with a driven and enthusiastic lab technician who can participate in and lead development projects.Important tasks will be:

• Cultivation of microalgae for use in both production and development projects.
• Design and execute microalgae cultivation experiments.
• Support our production organisation to increase the productivity and meet market demand.
• Propose and implement improvements in our current production processes.
• Participate in and lead development projects and activities.
• Propose and initiate development projects.
• Document and report results.
• Set-up, run and develop pilot production processes and tests on lab scale.
• Quality control and testing of products and processes.

The Algae Culture Development Technician reports to the Production Research and Development Manager.The position is full-time and it is placed at our production plant in Kungshamn, Sweden. The right candidate lives within commuting distance from the plant. Required Competences

• University degree in biotechnology, microbiology/biology or chemistry/biochemistry.
• Experience from laboratory work.
• Experience from independently driving development projects and activities.
• Previous experience from algae farming or other cultivation/production of microorganisms is an advantage.
